I was born 1963 in Falmouth, Trelawny, Jamaica and I still live there to this day….. i still can’t understand why. Living in such a small town has severe limitations on expression and privacy. Even taking photographs, I sometimes have to be answering questions as to why I am taking photos, even if I am shooting a building. Thanks to the internet, I have the means of expressing myself freely.
Gray scale (black & white) is my very favorite finish for photos. I admire the tones, shades, tonal range and texture in black & white photos. The problem is, i hardly do black & white; instead, most of my photos are colored.
This site is to showcase my gray scale images and encourage me to pay more attention to this photo genre, giving me the inspiration and motivation to produce more.
